Anchored by a Peplink multi-WAN router with integrated 4G/5G failover and a UniFi Switch Pro 48 PoE (Gen 2) as the core distribution switch, the kit provides a fully managed, VLAN-capable network fabric capable of supporting simultaneous DIT ingestion workflows, director monitoring feeds, high-throughput storage transfers, and mobile crew access all without performance degradation across any workstream. Automatic failover from primary WAN to 4G/5G standby requires zero manual intervention, ensuring that active ingest sessions and live monitoring feeds are never interrupted by an upstream connectivity failure.

The wireless access layer combines three UniFi 6 Pro indoor access points delivering high-density 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) coverage with OFDMA and BSS coloring for interference management in device-dense environments with two UniFi AC Mesh outdoor units that extend seamless Layer 2 roaming to exterior sets, staging areas, and perimeter zones. All five access points are PoE-powered directly from the core switch, eliminating the need for separate power cabling on location. The result is a unified, centrally managed wireless fabric with seamless roaming across the entire production footprint.

Connectivity to production endpoints is handled via the 48-port PoE+ switch, with dedicated wired connections for fixed workstations including the DIT station, director monitor, CFexpress media ingest readers, and high-speed T9 portable storage. Crew devices tablets, phones, and communications applications are served over the Wi-Fi 6 access layer and can be isolated on a dedicated VLAN to maintain separation between production-critical and general-access traffic.
