Imagine a sensor that can talk to your control room from a dangerous zone without any wires. That is what this radio unit does. It uses LoRa technology to carry temperature, pressure or gas-concentration data up to ten kilometres away. If you have missed readings because a cable failed, you will feel the relief of continuous, secure data flow. WIKAs wireless bridge proven expertise ensures the device meets the strict ATEX, IECEx and CSA standards for explosive atmospheres.

 

Usages

The radio unit can be attached directly to a pressure transmitter in a refinery, mounted on a wall near a dust collector, or linked to a temperature probe in a chemical storage tank. It works in oil-and-gas fields, mining shafts, wastewater treatment plants and any place where hazardous gases or fine dust are present. Because it runs on a long-life lithium thionyl chloride battery, you can install it in remote spots and forget about maintenance for years.
